We are a collaborative network of academic researchers, educators, and national resource managers. Our collective goal is to provide inter-disciplinary training in the biodiversity sciences for Gabonese, European and American students. Our overall goal is to understand how past human settlements in Gabon have influenced current levels of biodiversity at the local level. Together, we strive to build capacity and biodiversity research in the central African region through inter-disciplinary training and cutting-edge techniques in a variety of disciplines: archeology, geosciences, environmental anthropology, botany, and wildlife sciences.
